Job Description

Production Planner, West Yorkshire, Circa £19,000
My client, a leading manufacturer in their field, is looking to recruit a Production Planner.
The position would suit an applicant with a methodical approach to planning and organisation and who has a keen eye for detail. Candidates should be capable of working both in a team and without excessive supervision and should have excellent communication skills. The ability to use initiative is essential.

Responsibilities:

- To plan all incoming orders, acknowledging production deliveries to sales to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.
- Prepare production schedules for each manufacturing department according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- To ensure each operation meets shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
- To progress customer orders through plans - to report any existing or forthcoming problems to Production Control / Sales.
- To maintain and keep production data up to date at all times.

Requirements:

- Previous Production Planning experience is essential.
- Computer literacy.
- Mapics Business system experience preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
