This role, based in Nottingham, is understand manufacturing and production requirements in order to buy the materials needed to produce our products. Ensuring the right quantity and quality whilst controlling cost.

Client Details

My client, in Nottingham, have been the company behind the scenes working with their OEM partners to fulfil their ideas by offering an agile and adaptive supply chain solution to bring electronic products to market. They are on an upward trajectory and have shown strong growth over the recent years.


The Production Scheduler & MRP Buyer will be responsible for:
  • Ensure all products are delivered to our customers on time by scheduling the Development Centre’s work and monitoring the manufacturing and production process.
  • Make sure your team always have the correct material for production by ensuring materials are delivered on time and inventories are kept correctly.
  • Ensure we receive our materials on time and at a good price by building strong relationships with our suppliers.
  • Make our business profitable by creating, confirming and monitoring purchase orders. Being aware of and reacting to price changes and resolving invoice discrepancies.
  • Improve the department by identifying better ways to work and by building relationships with other departments to understand how we can improve things together.
  • Ensure kits are ready for manufacturing by having all the correct items in them.
  • Maintain easy access to information by maintaining accurate records of items purchased, costs and delivery.


The Successful Production Scheduler & MRP Buyer will have/be:

Two years or more of buying in a similar industry.

Demonstrated equivalent and a working knowledge of a supply chain and the manufacturing and production process.

Working knowledge of buying and ordering processes.

Working knowledge of production planning, material requirements planning and Kanban systems.

Knowledge of MRP systems, inventory control, purchasing and production scheduling.

Well organised.

An eye for detail & Good with numbers.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with employees at all levels.

Based in or happy to commute to Nottingham
