A leading FMCG organisation based in Greater Manchester are looking to recruit a Production Planner to join their team on an initial 1 year contract with the potential to go permanent. As Production Planner you will be responsible for converting the demand plan into a production plan, ensuring all orders are fulfilled and looking at ways to drive supply chain best practice and drive efficiencies across the factory.

About the role:
  • Create the daily production plan to meet customer needs, NPD and allow efficient production
  • Ensure there is 24/7 cover for planning/customer ordering
  • Review and report on progress against weekly target customer service levels and responsible for addressing any deviations
  • Keep all key stakeholders in the plant informed of adjustments to production schedules or issues as they arise
  • Publish and lead root cause analyses on key metrics including Customer Service Level, Actual vs. Scheduled Productions and Master Schedule Stability

About the person:
  • Must be immediately available or available for an imminent start
  • Must have strong production planning background, ideally from within FMCG.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders
