They are looking for a professional services category manager to join the procurement function and take ownership of the strategy moving forward. My client has a great reputation throughout the procurement industry and is strong believer in developing its people and providing employees the opportunity to progress their career.


As professional services sourcing manager some of the key responsibilities in this ambitious retail procurement team are:-
  • Providing strong commercial acumen in a large organisation balancing cost, quality and risk
  • Being a valued business partner to stakeholders, delivering value beyond numbers
  • Establishing strong relationships with shareholders and stakeholders alike
  • Developing strategic sourcing plans for professional services sub-categories - HR, Contingent Labour, Legal, Resourcing etc.
  • Substantial experience in the professional services category


The successful professional services category manager will demonstrate the following:-
  • Knowledge of procurement strategy and developing strategy plans
  • Strong commercial acumen with record of delivering results
  • An effective communicator who can engage with senior level stakeholders
  • An adaptable procurement professional who can work in a fast paced retail environment
