The newly created role will take ‘ownership’ of relevant key procurement projects, covering all operational issues following design conception through to completion and delivery of the tangible ‘product’ to the client.

Client Details

Fast growing and fast paced business, operating within the manufacturing of key products used within the retail industry. They have a full end to end international operation, with offices in South Africa, China and Australia.

  • Managing client projects including selecting suppliers, evaluating total cost, negotiation, production/manufacturing and logistics.
  • Liaise with other key stakeholders internally and ensure a high level of communication.
  • Negotiation and supplier relationship management of all key suppliers.
  • Ensure proper use of the procurement procedures and follow up in order to provide others in the company with the relevant information
  • Ensuring appropriate quality assurance is maintained at all stages of the supply chain. Planning and overseeing on-site supervision of work in progress, where necessary.
  • Build & maintain key relationships with internal stakeholders.


Ideal Candidate;

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of procurement/sourcing within the manufacturing industry
  • A good understanding of the relevant manufacturing processes and key stakeholder relationships needed.
  • Direct experience of managing both domestic and over-seas suppliers, Particularly the Far Eastern supply market
  • Commercially aware and analytical
  • Knowledge of Export/Import processes and documentation and all modes of transport.
  • The ability to take full control and drive results to complete projects.
  • Able to Multi-task with excellent time management skills
  • Must be able to drive real savings through planned purchasing and strong negotiations with suppliers
  • A can-do attitude
