The Purchasing Administrator will carry out the day to day tasks required to fulfil purchasing demands. Using the MRP system, you will create and manage purchase orders to ensure goods arrive in time to fulfil the sales demand of customers.

Client Details

Based in Maidstone, Kent our client are leading providers of bespoke furniture. They specialise in design pieces which provide style and quality while offering safety and security to challenging environments such as Prisons, hospitals and psychiatric units.

Description

The Purchasing Administrator will be responsible for:
  • Daily running of MRP processing system
  • Stock level monitoring and analysis
  • Creating purchase and works orders and sending to suppliers, including container filling/calculation
  • Rescheduling orders as necessary to keep up to date with changing dates/lead-times
  • Communicating with suppliers, and arranging transport, to ensure PO lead-times are met
  • Communicating with Customer Services and Goods In to ensure client’s lead-times are met
  • Maintaining costing database with updated prices and products as necessary
  • Communication with suppliers for modified and special items for prices and availability



Profile

The successful Purchasing Administrator will be able to demonstrate:
  • An understanding of purchasing techniques and processes
  • Knowledge of MRP systems
  • MS Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Accountability and ownership of work remit
