Purchasing Assistant/Sourcing Support role on a temp to perm contract in leading manufacturing business.

Your new company
A leading Manufacturing business based in North West London are recruiting an extra resource within their Supply Chain/Purchasing team. This organisation are a leader in their field, serving high profile defence and government clients. You will therefore need to pass security clearance and as such will have to be a British national to apply.

Your new role
This role is much more than a Sourcing Assistant, and supports the Category Leads within the business on the procurement of direct materials procurement. You will liaise with company stakeholders to review and clarify business requirements and assist with developing a common category savings strategy that will be applied across multiple business divisions. You will Responsible for analysing actual and forecasted spend to assist in identifying, achieving and recording cost savings as well as compiling and conducting RFP’s/RFI’s/RFQ’s/ITT processes. You will conduct research and analysis to produce reports that aide the shortlisting and selection of suppliers.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will be available to start quickly, and will be willing to work in a temp-to-perm contract. The role is working within the manufacturing type environment, so you will need purchasing experience in a similar field, procuring physical goods.
