Purchasing Assistant required for Chepstow based manufacturer

Your new company
A market leading manufacturer based in Chepstow.

Your new role
Reporting to the Senior Material Scheduler, assisting with general duties in order to support the growth of the organisation. Will help all members of the department with administration duties, that include printing schedules, keeping the system up-to-date and dealing with Purchase Order requisitions from other departments. Will provide additional support to Scheduling duties.

Responsibilities:
  • Printing production schedules and works orders in timely manner
  • Revising completion dates in order to provide customer services with accurate information
  • Process Purchase Order requisitions, ensuring they are processed promptly and will involve contacting suppliers (both new and existing) to confirm prices and delivery
  • Checking and filing Order Acknowledgements
  • Creating Works Orders that are either urgently required to be coated at the paint line, or specifically requested to be coated at the line under standard lead-time
  • Any other duties as required

What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience of working within a Purchasing Department would be preferred but not necessarily critical
  • Competent IT & Keyboard skills essential
  • Good Communication skills
  • SAGE experience desirable
