Purchasing Assistant-Manufacturing-St. Helens

Client Details

My client is an established manufacturer and is one of the fastest growing in their field known as a leading brand. They are a multinational company based in St. Helens and are looking for a Purchasing assistant to join their procurement team.

Description

As a Purchasing Assistant based in St. Helens you will have the following responsibilities;

  • Acknowledge and process orders, invoices and requisitions using SAP.
  • Work with suppliers and other departments within the company ensuring that proactive communication and engagement is used to avoid any delays within processes or to identify issues early on.
  • Maintain and record all purchase, material and vendor information using the MRP.
  • Provide any necessary support to the purchasing team on a day to day basis.
  • Run internal and external reports for a number of areas.
  • Maintain compliance through contract database gathering market and supplier intelligence to support adherence to legal obligations.

Profile

The successful candidate for this Purchasing Assistant role will:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience within a purchasing role.
  • Have a good understanding of SAP and Excel
  • Have come from a direct purchasing background preferably within manufacturing.



Job Offer

£22000-£25000 + Bonus + Pension and package
