The Purchasing Manager (Transport) will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing team and leading the purchasing strategy.

Client Details

Based in Kent, our client are key players within the industry, at the forefront of the market with leading innovation and service offering.


The Purchasing Manager (Transport) will be responsible for:
  • Reviewing existing contracts and negotiating agreements
  • Managing a Deputy Purchasing Manager and Store Keepers across 12 sites
  • Ensuring physical stock matches the supply shown on Oracle system records
  • Enhancing stock replenishment optimisation
  • Analysing and managing a multi-million pounds spend budget
  • Implementing and managing supplier KPI's
  • Identifying and implementing cost and process improvements across the organisation
  • Continuously liaising with stakeholders across the business including reporting to senior management

The role is based in Kent however the position has a multi-site function with requirement to ensure all sites are serviced.


The successful Purchasing Manager (Transport) will be able to demonstrate:
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to organise and prioritise
  • Knowledge of Procurement contracts, tendering and negotiation
