Job Description

My client is a leading bar and restaurant chain who are looking for an experienced Food Purchasing Manager to join their team. Working closely in conjunction with the development chefs you will be responsible for all food sourcing as well as some of the non consumable areas of the business. Managing a multi million pound spend food purchasing experience is essential within the hotel, leisure or retail sector. Key responsibilities include:

Developing a food purchasing strategy including policies and procedures.
Review all lines and look for synergies and line/supplier reductions.
Minimize cost increases by sourcing best quality at lowest price.
Provide detailed analuysis on food volumes and spend by month.
Manage contracts, negotiate terms and ensure suppliers meet contractual oligations and provide reports when applicable.
