Job Description

My client are part of a global food business and following significant restructuring and they are now focused on introducing and emdedding best practice procurement within the business. They are now looking for an ingredients purchasing manager to manage the ingredients portfolio across the business. You will strategically lead the raw materials portfolio through the businesses cross functional sourcing process, ensuring that the business requirements are met. You will be responsible for managing the embedded commodities to reduce balance risk with competitive advantage, achieve breakthrough cost reduction and proactively manage key supplier performance to ensure delivery against cost, quality and speed criteria.

With strong communication skills and drive, you will be comfortable with leading or supporting departments in defining business needs for specific aspects of the product portfolio and to negotiate relevant contracts. Managing your own specific company wide projects, you will be able to demonstrate the leadership skills and tenacity to manage projects to completion to realise the benefits.

Candidates will need a strong academic background, previous ingredients purchasing experience and a thorough understanding of all aspects of procurement and a track record of delivering and sustaining substantial sourcing savings.
