Temporary Resource Partner required for Commercial organisation based near Romsey, ideally Logistics/Planning.


A Commercial client based in the Romsey area is currently looking for a Resource Partner to assist the Strategic Resource Manager in the efficient and effective management of their Engineers' time. Crucial to this role is ensuring that resourcing supply and demand are matched ensuring that utilisation and business profitability is optimised. There are two main areas of Resource Management that need to be undertaken for which this role will support - the short to medium term shaping of business acquisition and allocation of Engineers to projects, plus the medium to long term matching of skills to the company, business and practice area strategies. About the role and Responsibilities
  • Develop an operational understanding of the business and in particular the engineering community.
  • Work with the existing Resource Partner to assist with project allocations for engineers to projects.
  • Alongside the existing Resource Partner you will be expected to develop a good understanding of the skills and capabilities of the engineering community and project opportunities.
  • Work closely with the HR department assisting in addressing career development, training and pastoral issues of Engineers.
  • Once you have the foundation of knowledge within the Resource Team be prepared to identify business protocols if they are impacting resourcing and escalate these accordingly.
  • Update Resource Spreadsheets to maintain accurate and up to date information.

Requirements
  • Experience of working in a role where planning and organisation are key to the business is essential.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular Excel. The ability to perform virtual lookups and confidently generate pivot tables would be advantageous
  • Proactive with a positive, flexible and assertive attitude.
  • Able to work within tight deadlines and a fast changing environment. Strong ability to liaise, influence, challenges effectively and builds relationships at all levels.
  • Proactive and creative approach to problem solving.
  • Effective team player with an ability to develop personal networks through strong interpersonal skills.
  • Engenders the trust of all staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on details and spot discrepancies.
  • Good judgement, balancing the needs of the individual, customer and the business.
  • Any previous experience in a Defence or National Security organisation would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • This role would suit someone from a logistics, planning, events organisation or high level administration (PA) background.

Due to the nature of the business, candidates must be willing to undergo and eligible to achieve HMG security clearance
