SAP Product Data Assistant, Eastleigh, £16-£20 per hour, 3 month temporary contract


One of Hays Commercial Clients based in the Eastleigh area is seeking an individual to work within the Product Data Management team. You will be accountable for SAP product data for a large FMCG organisation and will actively acquire, input, maintain and cleanse this data ensuring it is accurate, delivered to brief and to deadline. You will collaborate cross functionally and externally to support delivery of Range Change and Trading Plans for the Group, and flexing within the Product Data Management team to organise yourselves, safeguarding all activity.
  • Establish yourself as a SAP MasterData expert, to be the first port of call for all SAP product queries. Taking an active role in promoting best practice product data management across OSC
  • Responsible for implementation and improvement of Product, Vendor and Site MasterData in SAP MD, in accordance to procedure and processes to ensure data excellence, under the principle of "Right First Time" for both OSC and OpCo MasterData
  • Conduct all quality control processes and checks, supporting vendors in their knowledge to ensure high success rate, and look to implement change where a need is identified
  • Working closely with Unified stakeholders to coordinate and support the timely delivery of range change & promotion activity, tracking success to provide KPI data
  • Collaborate with all Offer, Sourcing and Market teams regarding their product data requirements; proactively seeking the best possible route to achieve the highest quality inputs/outputs
  • Initiate regular housekeeping to ensure data is valid and at its correct lifecycle stage
  • Support any need for SAP problem solving, proactively look for robust solutions and support Kingfisher business users with their knowledge and understanding of MasterData including process and procedure
  • Provide MasterData reports as required by the business.
  • Creating and maintaining of workload plans for your area as needed, assist teams with project planning, tracking of milestones and reporting status and quality through KPI data.
  • Identify training needs through interrogation of KPI data
  • Look for continuous improvement in the quality of product data, ensuring effective processes are in place to capture customer and colleague feedback and act upon it accordingly.
  • Work with the business to manage and resolve incidents in a timely manner, and support with regression and UAT requirements for SAP MasterData systems.
  • Support the need for training both internally and externally to ensure any person responsible for providing or keying data to SAP is fully aware of the impacts of incorrect or poorly managed data.

Requirements
  • Expert skills in Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience working within a data driven environment focusing on a product data/content
  • A working knowledge of SAP preferable (but not essential as full training will be provided)
  • Effective communicator
  • Ability to troubleshoot and investigate to a resolve
  • Professionalism and resilient under pressure
  • Effective planner and able to manage and prioritise workload
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel
  • Competent in MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Understanding business process and data flow
