A UK leading brand seeks a Senior Category Manager to join their fast growing procurement team. The company itself is going through an aggressive period of growth, meaning the role you play in the procurement strategy will play a key part in the long term success of the business. This is a rare opportunity to join the company at a very senior level, but due to the exciting company expansion, it is necessary for them to add a senior procurement professional to their team.

As a Senior Category Manager, you will:
  • Have autonomy over a multi mullion pound procurement spend which will grow year on year as the company continues their rapid expansion
  • Be responsible for strategic sourcing of the most important food and beverage products, to ensure a quality service for the customer that reflects the reputation of the brand
  • Responsible for the cradle to grave procurement cycle for your category, and have full accountability for every procurement decision made
  • Be regularly interacting with senior stakeholders in order to influence not just the overall procurement strategy, but the entire long term business strategy
  • Be working on multi-million pound RFP’s, and have full accountability over the results of negotiations with suppliers

As a Senior Category Manager you will have:
  • Procurement experience, ideally in the food/beverages/hospitality sector (Desired but generalists are also welcome)
  • A degree or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen
