A UK leading brand is in urgent need of an FM Senior Category Manager to join their high calibre procurement team. The award winning organisation is recognised across the UK for quality of service in everything they do, and this quality of service is expected from every member of staff throughout the entire business. As a Senior Category Manager you will be responsible for the entire FM category, and you will be accountable for everything from day to day running of the category, right up to crucial procurement strategy decisions.

In this role you will be able to see the results from the key strategic decisions that you will make, as well as being responsible for more junior procurement professionals in your team, and ensuring their development in their procurement career. You will be able to take pride in the organisation you will be working for, as you will be a key player in one of the UK’s most respected brands.

As a Senior Category Manager, you will be:
  • Leading key tenders up to £150m, ensuring successful negotiation and implementation of these contracts that will have a positive effect on the national procurement strategy
  • Fully accountable for cradle to grave procurement processes, ensuring you are going above and beyond senior stakeholder expectations to provide the best service for your prestigious clients
  • Working with senior stakeholders to design and implement the company wide procurement strategy, having major impacts on the overall company profitability and the long term future of the market leading organisation
  • Managing your own FM procurement team, and be responsible for the development of junior members of team, in order to ensure the long term success of the FM procurement team
  • Responsible for all commercial strategic sourcing across the whole FM procurement category
  • Accountable for a multi-million pound procurement spend, that will grow year on year as the company continues its growth

As a Senior Category Manager you will have:
  • Strong FM procurement experience
  • A proven ability to influence senior stakeholder decision making at the highest level
  • A degree or equivalent (desired but not essential)
  • Commercial acumen
  • Proven supplier relationship skills, with the ability to build new relationships from scratch with potential new suppliers
