A FTSE 100 hospitality brand with a global reputation seeks a Senior Category Manager to join their award winning procurement team. The blue chip company offers the chance to work for an unparalleled brand, as well as taking on a challenging but extremely rewarding role. It is very unusual to have the opportunity to join their procurement team at this level of seniority, but due to the increasing workload and their rapid expansion plans, they need the best procurement professionals to maintain their global reputation, and to continue to be a market leader in their sector.

The role of senior category manager will involve:
  • Working in the strategic sourcing team, designing and implementing procurement strategy for a specified food and beverage category
  • Having autonomy over a multi-million pound spend
  • Presenting tangible savings, without compromising on quality, and ensuring good relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Working on the end to end procurement cycle
  • Working with all members of the procurement team, in order to devise and deliver efficient procurement strategy and an overall efficient sourcing plan

The senior category manager will have the following:
  • Procurement experience in strategic sourcing in the food and beverages or hospitality sector is preferred (generalist experience also welcome)
  • A degree (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent commercial acumen
  • The ability to challenge and influence stakeholders
