BP E&P NA Gas gross expenditure for Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) is forecasted to be upwards of $100 million per annum over the next 5 years. The strategic and operational management of this expenditure is critical to the group's success in achieving growth and cost management targets. The successful candidate for this posting will have the unique opportunity to manage a strategic sector.- Primary commercial contact providing support to BP regional procurement coordinators- Manage internal BP demand and manage distribution, coordinate mill scheduling and optimize available capacity- Provide central expertise on the OCTG market to performance units- Facilitate usage of BP surplus to meet upcoming requirements- Assist with sourcing of regional emergency octg requirements- Ensure that all BP PU's fully understand how to utilize the North America OCTG contract, assist in developing and implementing transition and forecasting plans- Identify opportunities to reduce costs in the OCTG supply chainQualifications:To be considered for the role of Senior Procurement & SCM Specialist-OCTG, applicants must meet the following criteria and qualifications:- Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer- Minimum of a Bachelor degree- Five to ten years in the oil industry with knowledge of OCTG, drilling and materials management operations is required- Ability to network at all levels internal and external to the organization- Very strong analytical and organizational skills are required- Strong communication and facilitation skills are required- The willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this positionCompany Profile:Our business is the exploration, production, refining, trading and distribution of energy.
