The role is to deliver a range of procurement activities for a local government client, these will include savings delivery, category management, strategic sourcing, contract and supplier relationship management, transformation, project and programme management.

Client Details

This role will be based on Client Site in Barnett, the consultancy have been around for over 25 years, and it has been the leading service provider for local gov, they help councils improve efficiency, provide better services and become more commercially sustainable. They have a very transparent working environment that encourage ingenuity and collaboration with colleagues, customers and clients.

Description

In addition to the client delivery you will be a member of a category team supporting internal business development in areas as product development, best practise and innovation, market shaping, knowledge and sales opportunities.

Utilise tools and methods to deliver compliant procurement processes and projects, transformation and change.

Utilities creativity and innovations to deliver max value improvements and benefits to clients.

Responsible for managing projects and larger programmes, undertake opportunity assessment reviews, business cases and project mandates to identify savings

Leading and managing a category management approach to the procurement of a specified portfolio expenditure.

Looking at a range of strategic sourcing strategies.

Profile

Experience needed: CIPS/MCIPS qualified, Demonstrable experience at delivering project within a local government setting with experience of FM, Construction, and maintenance + waste service

A social services background would also be desirable

Experience of OJEU + EU Procurement Regulations

Track record of savings to a public sector organisations through effective category management.

Demonstrate complex and changing environment experience.
