A world-leading consultancy is looking for an experienced Procurement specialist to take responsibility for planning and delivering key streams of work to both large-scale Fortune 500s and Public Sector firms. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent interpersonal and strategic procurement skills and will be looking to advance their procurement career in a blue chip environment.
You will work alongside senior account managers across a variety of clients within technology, infrastructure, defence, aerospace and heavy manufacturing. Tasked with instilling best in class procurement processes whilst providing strategic procurement knowledge to the wider business, you will be responsible for a number of key short to long term projects. You will need to work closely with senior stakeholders to gain an understanding of the wider business and to help improve the procurement buy in.
The following procurement and softer skills are essential if you wish to be successful in this role:
Excellent end to end procurement knowledge and the ability to execute strategies through areas such as tendering, contract negotiations and supplier consolidation
In depth knowledge of indirect and direct categories across areas such as professional services, HR, FM, marketing, IT, Packaging & Directs
Excellent communication and rapport building skills with the ability to work with senior stakeholders
The drive and entrepreneurial spirit to drive procurement and educate clients on commercial acumen
Strong academic profile, degree from a leading university preferred.
