A global energy needs a Senior Procurement Manager To influence category strategy and SRM models London

Your new company
Your new company is a global energy producer with a presence in over 60 countries across the world. Their portfolio of projects range over both onshore and offshore opportunities and they work continuously on R&D initiatives to continue finding new cleaner and more efficient ways of producing and distributing energy and ensuring an eco-friendly market presence.

Your new role
In your new role as a Senior Procurement Manager, you will have responsibility of providing market knowledge to the business to build stronger working relationships with the company stakeholders, from internal partners to ensure that their pipeline work is in line with Procurement strategy to working with suppliers to ensure that the contracts are implemented correctly into the business. You will be holding a key procurement role, as a trusted advisor to identify new cost saving opportunities by conducting spend analysis, working with compliance, ensuring that all necessary risk and governance procedures are adhered to. Another part of your role will also include engaging with a range of subcontractors to ensure they are following their agreed services levels and you will also be overseeing the supplier framework agreements.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will have a strong background in procurement, with a proven record of delivering on a breadth of indirect procurement projects. You will have experience influencing key stakeholders to obtain their buy-in as well as working with them to align their plans to procurement policies. You will be a confident communicator who is well versed in managing suppliers and negotiating terms and contracts with them. Ideally you will have worked as a line manager to a small team and come from an energy industry background.
You must be eligible to work in the UK.
