Our client, a globally recognised institution based in Oxford, are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager with experience of global supply chain transformation to play a key role in developing and delivering large scale projects into live operations.

Description
  • Accountable for the successful management of Logistics & Supply Chain Projects from conception through to implementation
  • Hold a dynamic, project-level plan that shows the work-stream dependencies, project-level activities, and critical path so that there is single version of the truth for all stakeholders.
  • Work cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders of all levels to ensure they are engaged in the relevant change projects as and when required.
  • Support the project governance structure by providing data about projects in a timely and coordinated manner. and ensuring the internal change delivery framework is followed.
  • Effectively communicate the project status of projects to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Effectively work with 3rd parties (Logistics Providers/Consultants/Software Providers) to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Coordinate Project Teams so that every team member is operating at the highest standard and delivering to time, cost, and quality.
  • Hold key planning and monitoring tools such as risks, dependencies, decisions, actions so that plans are controlled, risks identified and resolved quickly.
  • Coordinate the Project Board series so that meetings are well-organised and provide maximum value to the attendees and the project.
  • Support operational processes during ramp-up after implementation to ensure transferability of knowledge to other implementations as well as being responsible for input into the development of tools and processes.





Profile

  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager within a logistics/supply chain team.
  • Supply Chain network optimisation & logistics operations knowledge is essential.
  • Proven project management and implementation experience within complex organisations.
  • Experience in managing relationships between external partners and internal stakeholders to deliver project objectives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills; able to inspire and influence teams and senior execs alike.
  • Analytical to ensure effective project planning management, effective escalation management and issue and risk management.
