Senior Project Manager, Customer Transition and Integration Banbury (possible flexibility on base location with regular national travel)

Job Purpose:

Customer Transition and Integration (CTI) is the Project Management department that sits centrally within Contract Logistics. The CTI department is responsible for the successful delivery of large scale customer implementations and internal transition projects, managing the full end to end project lifecycle from business award to go live and BAU across multiple work-stream leads including Property, Procurement, HR, Systems and Operations.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
    • Support the Business Development and Solutions team during late stages of the tender process for new business with the creation of start-up budgets, critical path and project scope
    • Lead the project team from business award through to live operations ensuring a smooth implementation on time and on budget and realising the service level expectations of the customer.
    • Responsible for the communication flow to stakeholders of the project at all levels of the business both internally and externally
    • Control projects using global CTI methodology including project planning, status reporting, issue and risk management and transition planning.
    • Manage the daily workload of the project team by ensuring that the deliverables / objectives are defined, agreed and delivered to schedule
    • Provide operational support during ramp-up and following implementation
    • Ensure transferability of knowledge to other implementations
  • Responsible for input into the development of departmental tools and processes.



Your skills and experience:
    • Extensive Project management experience and proven resilience in a 3PL environment
  • Experience of delivering large scale (Space, People & Fleets) and complex projects within Contract Logistics would be of a distinct advantage

  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
  • Ability to learn and then perform the CTI methodology successfully, including the Zero Failure Process
  • Advanced Contract Logistics Operations experience or Logistics Engineering experience
  • Strong and broad understanding of Logistics processes including Inbound, Put-away, Replenishment, Picking, Packing, Order Preparation, Value Added Logistics activities and Distribution.
  • Experience of preparing and managing start up budgets in excess £1m
  • Good understanding of IT/ WMS solutions
  • Excellent understanding of stakeholder management, with the interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the business
  • Significant understanding of Issue and Risk Management, including the composition of the issue log to record and monitor issues as and when they occur, as well as the support to deliver a risk workshop and keeping the risk documentation up to date.
  • Advanced understanding of Project Planning Management, including the creation of a project plan
  • Detailed understanding of Change Management and associated controls
