Established 3pl based in West Yorkshire are seeking an experienced Operations Shift Manager to join them during an exciting period of growth.



Description



As Operations Shift Manager you will be responsible for:

  • To ensure that the profitability of your allocated client contracts is maintained in line with the agreed budgets and targets
  • Ensure that the appropriate cost control measures are in place and effective for your client contracts
  • To ensure effective communications with your clients, plan and attend the appropriate client meetings and work with all clients to ensure positive relations at all times
  • To effectively manage the performance of Supervisors and Staff to ensure all targets are achieved to the required standard, through training and coaching.
  • To promote a continuous improvement ethos throughout all contracts

  • Provide an environment that encourages development for all employees
  • Ensure that all KPIs are achieved through effective use of resources.
  • Plan, review and communicate each shift (as required) operational requirements and changes to ensure that KPIs and client service levels are achieved.
  • Build positve client relationships and respond constructively to client requests
  • Create and maintain an innovative environment that encourages employee participation through continuous improvement and effective team working, sharing best practice where possible.
  • Ensure that employees are informed and involved in the performance of the depot via positive site communication plans
  • Continually review all aspects of the operation so that methods, procedures and efficiency can be improved
  • Maintain excellent standard of hygiene and housekeeping
  • Ensure that all site rules and regulations are adhered to and that all accidents are investigated and reported accordingly
  • Ensure hazard spotting is carried out and documented

  • Responsible for conducting disciplinary action up to and including Dismissals when required to and in accordance with the company’s Policies and Procedures





Profile



To be considered for the role of Shift Operations Manager you must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven basic literacy and numeracy skills at Secondary school level or higher
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Innovative and adapts to change
  • Basic employment law
  • PC skills (to include Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Able to use initiative, organise own workload
  • Able to motivate team





Job Offer

The successful candidate will be offered a salary of up to £28,000 dependent on experience.
