Shipping Coordinator - Working in Hertfordshire - £25-29,000


Your new company
This global organisation are renowned as one of the leaders within their specialist field. This organisation is the largest distributor and importer of Asian cuisine in the UK and also Europe.

Your new role
This role offers lots of visibility and responsibility within the highly established logistics team. As the shipping coordinator you will provide shipping documents to forwarders and also update the in house system accordingly. You will also check the necessary shipping documents from suppliers for forthcoming purchase orders. You will check shipping line freight rates monthly, negotiate prices and also verify the correct rates with each container.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role, previous experience working in a shipping position is crucial. Also, previous experience using the SAP system is also required due to this role using this system. A degree is a desirable but not necessarily essential in order to be considered for this role. Due to the nature of this organisation, being fluent in a language such as Japanese, Korea or Chinese is an advantage.
