Sourcing Specialist – Iconic Retailer - £35k + Excellent Benefits Package

In the wake of a massive restructure, globally-established retailer is targeting critical hires to join their expanding team. Procurement has been heavily invested in and as a result, you can expect key responsibilities and autonomy while sourcing for raw materials and commodities. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity for growth and development, with a clearly mapped path to promotion by 2020.

The procurement role will involve:
  • Strategically sourcing commodities and raw materials within a structured procurement team
  • Dealing with stakeholders to win approval for innovative procurement projects
  • Work closely with suppliers to maintain performance and negotiate contracts
  • Identify and implement process improvements to satisfy customers and key stakeholders
  • Oversee the full end-to-end procurement process

Required procurement skills:
  • Relevant direct procurement buying background, preferably within raw materials or commodities
  • Continual growth and progression within your procurement career
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Degree / CIPS desirable, though not essential
