Our supply chain operations are key to delivering this growth, and an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Stock Controller looking at our supply chain operations. Measuring, managing and improving stock accuracy in our business is a key commercial and supply chain objective, to ensure we deliver an ever-improving customer experience worldwide and maximise every sales opportunity.

This is a challenging role for a stock control and management professional with experience of analysing, measuring and resolving inventory issues in the supply chain who would like to join the Mountain Warehouse success story.

Scope of role

  •  Deliver an ongoing improvement in inventory accuracy, a reduction in systemic and actual stock loss within the DC network and reduced levels of customer order errors
  • Manage daily inventory accuracy between DC and Mountain Warehouse systems and resolve issues
  • Control of stock movements such as stock recalls to the DC and store transfers
  • Resolution of issues, partnering with operational teams to deliver them
  • Own a long term plan to improve inventory accuracy focussing on root causes
  • All retail operations in UK, Europe, North America and Asia Pacific including 3 DC operations projected to grow to 5 in 2019

What you'll be doing

  • Daily review of 3 Distribution Centre stockfiles and comparison to the stock levels held on the MW ERP system
  • Analysis and resolution of all issues identified from the daily comparison, including feedback to other teams, input into vendor management
  • Monitor and probe web order shortages and mispicks in all DCs
  • Own the long term resolution of root causes identified, partnering with operational system and 3PL teams to deliver solutions
  • Monitor all inter DC movements, and returns of stock to the DC, identify and resolve issues
  • Weekly review of equipment and fixtures stock levels
  • Own the accuracy of the stockfile for Amazon Fulfilment Centres, working with the marketplaces team to understand Amazon activity
  • Work with head of Supply Chain to ensure a fit for purpose stock management is in place for all new DC openings
  • Produce management information and reporting for commercial supply chain and finance team
  • Input into the financial month end process

  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Used to rolling sleeves up and getting stuck in to make things happen at pace
  • Comfortable with working independently and autonomously
  • Positive and proactive approach to work
