This Stock Controller role is to assist in the management of all stock and systems activity within our Crewe and European warehouse. The successful candidate will be numerate with an eye for detail and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

The role of the Stock Controller:

  • Assisting with the day to day planning and monitoring of departmental workloads.
  • Warehouse cycle counts : control and recording.
  • Action end of day WMS, Royal Mail and Courier manifests.
  • Monitor stock accuracy, and actioning investigations and resolution of discrepancies and thus working towards improved stock accuracy and integrity.
  • Undertake administrative tasks associated with daily/monthly KPI reports.
  • Maintain Location Management and Despatch Rules within WMS.
  • Liaising with other departments as required on stock queries.


The Successful Stock Controller applicant:

  • Stock control/warehouse and logistics experience in a fast paced environment
  • System mapping/ SOPs and daily/monthly KPI reporting
  • End to end warehouse process knowledge : GRN to Despatch and knowledge/experience of current warehouse technology
  • PC literacy, particularly Excel and Word with experience of inventory management, WMS, Stocktaking and perpetual inventory etc
  • Ability to record, analyse and evaluate data
  • Staff planning to meet departmental needs
  • Ideally, have reach truck/counterbalance truck licence, but not essential : training can be provided

Job Offer

Salary: £22,000

Hours: Monday - Friday (days)
