Strategic Procurement Buyer – Leading Global Organisation – Manchester - £30,000 + CIPS sponsorship + Bonus

Fast growing leading brand commercially savvy Sourcing specialist to join their Strategic Procurement function. With a close-knit and collaborative sourcing team?, the successful applicant will benefit from one-to-one coaching to ensure quick personal development and enjoy autonomy over strategic procurement projects. Also, with expanding operations across the UK and USA, international secondments are available longer term.

Ideally this candidate will be a recent graduate with a few years of strategic procurement experience who are looking to progress their career under leadership from a best in-class procurement professionals.

Strategic Procurement Buyer role profile:-
• Exposure from day one to interact with senior stakeholders including Divisional Directors, Sales Directors and the CEO, building strong relationships and being a crucial figure in the mission to position procurement more strategically within the Firm
• Exposure to £ Multi-Million procurement and strategic sourcing projects from cradle-to-grave, from gathering stakeholders' requirements to ITT, RFP, RFQ, contract negotiation and award, and supplier relationship management (SRM) phases
• ?Focussing on complex categories, with exposure to sub-contract procurement and NEC3 contracts
• Reporting into the Head of Procurement, benefiting from one-to-one coaching to ensure your promotion within 12-18 months


Required background:-

• Impressive track record within your early procurement career, with strategic sourcing knowledge
• Knowledge of the end-to-end procurement process, with strategic (as opposed to just tacti-cal) sourcing experience
• Ideally previous experience in sub-contract procurement and NEC3 contracts
• Degree qualified & studying CIPS (or appetite to start) (preferred not essential)
