Job Description

This is an exciting role to be part of this changing organisation to be part of delivering the supplier strategy to formpartnerships with suppliers to make theman integrated part ofthe organisation. The supply base is global, including Europe, USA and the Far East.
Key area's are:
o Develop strategic relationships with supply base
o Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Product Development, Supply Management, Material Planning, Operations and external suppliers
o Manage the material cost, lead-time, capital investment, design effort, quality and testing initiatives within the selected supply base
o Negotiate and analyse material costs and capital investments relative to targets
o Assist Finance in creating and maintaining product pricing models; maintain
Before applying for this role please ensure you can demonstrate the following:
Give examples where you have worked in a matrix organisationin a supplier development capacity and can show how you made a difference to the cost, service and long term relationship.
Where you have worked in a multi site manufacturing organisation and can understand the different needs for each site
You have an aptitude for Engineering and understanding the components you are purchasing.
Core competencies for the role are:
Strong negotiation skills
Highly developed problem-solving skills
Highly developed interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to influence and lead others without formal authority
Excellent verbal and wr
Global manufacturing organisation with a complex order book.
Up to £35,000 + car allowance + package
