We have an exciting new opportunity for a Supplier Contract and Pricing Manager to join our newly formed Supplier Management function. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of delivering corporate value and profitability in end to end Supply Chain Operations, Vendor Management and Procurement in global IT Managed Services.

Your new role

You will be based at our Reading Head Office reporting into the Head of Supplier Management.

This role will be to manage the contracts lifecycles and global rate cards. Some of the key accountabilities are:
  • Sourcing and engaging key suppliers, providing cost-effective resilience and coverage across our global operations
  • Negotiating business engagement terms (including Master Service Agreements, Statement of Works & Service Level Agreements) which are compliant with all appropriate contractual obligations, including legislation, regulatory and end-customer requirements
  • Managing the full Supplier Contract lifecycles covering our global operations
  • Negotiating Supplier rate cards covering our global operations
  • Assisting the sales team with Project pricing on large customer deals
  • Managing the ongoing maintenance for our global operation Supplier rate cards.
  • Delivering tangible year on year cost savings to the business through effective negotiation.
  • Ensuring all new suppliers are credit checked. onboarded, and expectations set
  • Ensuring system information is kept up to date and accurate for suppliers
  • Monitoring and assisting with Supplier invoice queries
  • Escalation point for Supplier contracts and Pricing queries
  • Providing ideas for process improvements
  • Providing recommendations and advice on how to avoid any additional cost

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an accomplished IT contracts / category manager excited at the prospect of joining a new function. You should have the following skills:
  • 5 years’+ experience in contract management / procurement in the IT industry, with specific in-depth knowledge of:
    • Contract management lifecycles
    • Contract law
    • Demonstrable experience of contract and pricing negotiation
    • Strong track record of delivering cost reduction targets with no deterioration in operational performance.
    • Proven experience of working in a complex multi-supplier environment
    • Excellent commercial acumen & problem-solving skills
    • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word and working knowledge of purchasing systems.
    • Experience of working in a matrix organisation, spanning geographical and functional boundaries
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
    • Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
