Supplier Manager Job, Public Sector, up to £500 per day

Your new role

Your new role will rely on working through high value contracts in detail along with negotiating and influencing suppliers on a performance and costs to assess best value commercial propositions. Furthermore you must be comfortable indicating to suppliers where performance is slipping, assisting in understand why. before following through with remedial actions thereafter.
The services you will implement supports a number of systems that carry front line activities and client engagement as well as core back-office functions. Along with this, you will be working with the Risk Department to coordinate contractual insurance requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed within this role you will have to have strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to successfully deal with suppliers and those colleagues around you. A strong commercial background is essential, preferably a member of CIPS. A high customer focus is a necessity in order to achieve consistently evaluations of service from customers. Moreover, you must have strong negotiation and influencing in order to work in a successful supplier relationship and confident in handling difficult situations.
