Maintain the robustness of supply, continuity and improvement in supplier capability along with alternative suppliers where needed. Manage the customer specific requirements and offer technical support.

Client Details

A leading provider of Secure and Essential Communication Solutions. They have four secure locations throughout the UK, over 500 employees and is trusted by many leading organisations.


  • To deploy and implement Purchasing strategies and tactics.
  • Conduct regular supplier audits and evaluations.
  • To resolve issues and complaints on supplied products.
  • Where applicable to visit and / or meet with suppliers providing technical support as applicable.
  • To achieve cost reductions and supply chain efficiencies.
  • Project management, leading and facilitating the successful delivery of major projects connecting internal and multi supplier activities, whilst maintaining client focus and communication.
  • To improve customer service by improving stock availability and lead-time reduction: the support of a low cost agile supply chain that delivers our needs and continually innovates.
  • Ensure that all supplier agreements are in accordance with best practice.
  • Provide supplier performance data to support reviews.
  • To contribute to the monthly management reports as required.

  • Knowledge of quality and business systems
  • Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, Value Steam mapping.
  • Strong knowledge of Audit and auditing processes
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge
  • Knowledge of Print supply chain advantageous
  • Knowledge of New Media (Digital Communications) supply chain is advantageous
  • Knowledge of TS16949 advantageous
  • Knowledge of ISO27001 advantageous
  • Knowledge of measurement techniques
  • Understanding and interpretation of specifications
  • Understanding manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
  • Planning and prioritising activities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Ability to present data effectively
  • Understanding of cost and financial impacts
  • Professional qualification or equivalent is desirable.


Experience in the field of Vendor Management is essential.

Experience in New Media (digital communications) would be an advantage.

Experience of supplier development, risk analysis and route cause problem solving.
