An engineering business are recruiting a Supplier Relationship Manager. Commercially focused, the SRM will manage a suite of electro-mech vendors. Commercial acumen, contractual knowledge and strategic procurement experience is required.

The Supplier Relationship Manager will work as part of a small procurement team, responsible for managing the commercial arrangements and contracts, for a suite of electro-mechanical suppliers. Working from contract templates, the SRM will be responsible for the full commercial lifecycle - supplier selection, negotiation, agreement of T&Cs and vendor management. There will be a strong emphasis on the Supplier Relationship Manager to drive improved performance from the supply chain and achieve cost down objectives.

Specific duties of the Supplier Relationship Manager will include:

1. Supplier Relationship Management - drive improved supply chain performance
2. Leading cost down activities
3. Management / Maintenance of contractual and commercial T&Cs
4. Support costing and pricing activities
5. Support engineering change process
6. Supplier selection, negotiation and agreement of LT supply agreements
7. Foster excellent relationships with stakeholders in production / engineering
8. Contribute to an environment of LEAN and continuous improvement

Supplier Relationship Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:

1. Strategic Sourcing / Supply Chain experience
2. Understanding of / exposure to contract management
3. Exposure to full commercial lifecycle
4. Strong negotiation skills
5. Vendor management expertise
