Supplier Relationship/Senior Sourcing Specialist required for financial services organisation in London.

Your new company
My client are a leading and rapidly growing financial services organisation. They have their own unique product offering as well as partner products with high-street brands, offering flexible and suitable financial support worldwide. They are based across the UK and you would sit in the London based Sourcing Team, reporting into the Head of Procurement.

Your new role
As the Sourcing Specialist you will be assigned to a major third party provider in order to manage this relationship effectively internally and externally. You will be scoping our strategy, leading negotiations and contract amendments, and passing the contracts off to the vendor management team once concluded. Even though you will be managing the major supplier for the organisation, there will still be wider sourcing activities (about 25% of your time). This sourcing team is only about 5-6 people so you will be required to support wider categories if the work-load so requires.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you must be a confident individual in order to successfully negotiate value for money as well as be the main interface with your key internal stakeholders. Because this large scale contract is already in place, this will be through thorough analysis of existing contract loopholes, extensions, and renegotiation. You must have experience within a similar industry (financial services, or insurance) in order to understand the specific category related to credit and payment information. You must be an independent worker who can hit the ground running. You must be an approachable and highly motivated individual in order to manage the supplier and internal division heads effectively.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a competitive salary package and benefits. Whilst there is no people management in this role currently, there is structural scope to become a team leader given that the Head of Procurement is based in North England, visiting the London office one day per week.
