Working in the FMCG Consumer Goods Industry, the Supply Chain Controller (Fresh Produce) will be responsible for the end to end supply chain process which includes buying support, customer management and inventory control.

Part of a large group of companies, our client based in Kent source, supply, prepare, pack and deliver top quality produce to customers all over the UK. Pulling upon their larger group structure they are able to offer great career development opportunities across the business.


The Supply Chain Controller (Fresh Produce) will be responsible for the supply chain process which includes buying
support, customer management and inventory control.

Buying Support:
  • Coordinate weekly programmes for growers, making adjustments to suit the needs of the business
  • Collate all supplier paperwork including packing list, load plans, invoices and claims
  • Purchase order creation within SAP with high accuracy levels in data entry
  • Ensuring prices, product references, freight costs and products are correct on the SAP system

Customer Management:
  • Manage customer orders by effective allocations and shortage communication
  • Manage customer returns
  • Use customer data to create the most reliable forecast including seasonality and promotions

Inventory Management:

  • Raise production plans and program figures in line with forecast and availability of stock
  • Management of the dwell time of stock to ensure it is used in the most effective order
  • Check production orders have been accurately input and the correct stock allocated to the plans


The Supply Chain Controller (Fresh Produce) will be able to demonstrate:

  • Attention to detail, delivering high quality work to deadlines under time pressure

  • Ability to carry out detailed analysis and present in a way that is easily understood throughout the business

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office programs including Excel, Power Point and MS Word.
  • The ability to construct professional presentations, MS Word documents and Excel Spreadsheets.
