My client, a global FMCG company is looking for a charismatic and ambitious Supply Chain Manager to manage the end to end Supply Chain for our Europeans customers being the main interface between customers, distribution centres and production sites.

In a nutshell, the Supply Chain Manager are responsible for:
• Liaising with factories, distributors and customers to ensure product fulfilment run smoothly and all orders are on time
• Procurement, Production Planning and Inventory management
• Identifying efficiencies across the end to end value chain
• Reporting and performance improvement

Location - London (EC1M)

Salary - up to £35,000

This role would suit someone that has worked within an SME sized organisation, ideally FMCG, which has led to the involvement in Supply Chain, Procurement and Production.

Key responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager / Materials Manager -

Procurement, Production Planning and Inventory management
• To deliver the finished goods production plan by considering replenishment requirements on assigned levels of the supply chain network and in Markets on a weekly and monthly basis.
• To execute distribution model and deployment plans for new/modified product launches/promo campaigns ensuring product fulfilment and top service level to our customers at all times
• To maintain finished goods stock levels on all storage locations as per the inventory policies individually set for each storage location/SKU.
• To contribute to regular reviews of inventory policies for finished goods and loose banderols on storage location/SKU level.
Identifying efficiencies across the end to end value chain
• Own the reporting of our operations team in order to produce accurate and relevant visibility to our Finance team
• Seek opportunities and drive initiatives to always improve the service level and on shelf availability of our customers
• To ensure completeness and correctness for Master Data (APO SNP & ECC), distribution to all stakeholders, RCA on issues, escalate as required to ensure resolution.
• Optimising the order process with our customers and suppliers to drive value within the supply chain
Reporting and performance improvement
• Create / implement tools to increase visibility, establish high standards and monitor performance of our supply chain operations
• Dealing with customers’ requests related to returns and faulty products.
• Report and track Out of stock (OOS) / On time in full (OTIF) miss reasons accurately and provide root cause analysis (RCA), manage discussion with relevant parties and agree corrective action plan.

Key experience/skills required for the position of Supply Chain Manager / Materials Manager -

• Desired, 3 years or more experience in supply chain management built in any of the following areas: warehouse management, logistics/transport, inventory management, production scheduling.
• Second language, especially in French would be desirable
• Good understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and contract management
• Ability to manage both ‘business as usual’ and ‘initiatives’ that drive effective operational performance across the building
• Commercially astute, with good financial and analytical skills
• Excellent IT skills within Microsoft Office are essential.
• Experience of influencing teams and building relationships inside and outside the organisation
• Accurate, methodical and organized with an eye for detail
• Proactive and adaptable
• Willingness to travel as and when required
