Your new company
A long established business that specialise in providing quality products to a range of customers across NI and known for their excellence on local service are now seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead operations on their [link removed]ne site on a full time permanent basis. The company have just invested in a new site to increase revenue and boost sales for 2018/19 which will have a dramatic impact on their annual growth and provide new opportunities for all employees.

Your new role
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing and stores department to develop strategies that drive cost reduction in line with key stakeholder demands for a high volume of company products. You will ensure quality and delivery expectations are achieved from local suppliers by maintaining relationships and agreeing contract terms on a weekly basis, also with direct involvement in price negotiations. Furthermore, the Supply Chain Manager will play a senior role for integration of new IT systems and plan specific projects to target supplier streamlining and outsourcing activities.

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous 5+ years experience in a similar role with evidence of driving supply chain cost reduction initiatives will lead to success along with a background in procurement ideally within the engineering or construction industry. Also, you will hold strong people management skills and be able to lead a team. A specialised supply chain or purchasing qualifications such as CIPS would be advantageous but not essential.
