The purpose of this document is detail the tasks and activities required from the role, whilst outlining objectives and expectations. Performance will be measured against these objectives and expectations.

Main Function

Manage the department, ensuring that the highest level of Customer Service is maintained without negatively impacting manufacturing or logistics.

Client Details

A leading UK brand with an exceptional track record of yearly growth.

  • Ensure that all risk assessments are identified and reviewed annually for the department.
  • Provide objective overview for the whole of Supply Chain, assisting in resolution of problems, prioritising orders and materials to achieve the best order date without incurring excessive cleanouts or transport charges.
  • Provide a point of contact for involved or escalated Customer queries or issues to swiftly resolve and provide root cause analysis where appropriate.
  • Review the weekly and monthly inventory reports produced for the US. Use these reports to identify slow moving stock levels and root cause. Pursue rework opportunities in conjunction with the Senior Production Planner and Inventory Controller via the WIP meeting.
  • To assist the planning department in the prioritisation of orders where needed.
  • Ensure that materials are onsite to enable efficient planning and customer lead times to be maintained.
  • To manage the transport team to ensure the correct delivery date and time is achieved as per customer requirements, at lowest cost.


  • At least 5 years supply chain management experience.
  • Including Customer Service management.
  • Relevant management qualification or working towards one.
  • Confident leader and self-starter with good communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • SOP process
  • Manage and be able to lead a team through change.

  • Negotiation, delegation skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Training and development experience.
  • Degree educated or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Transport.
  • Knowledge of demand planning.

£60,000 + benefits
