Based within the busy manufacturing site near Sheffield, as the Supply Chain Planner you will play a vital position within the business, ensuring that the end-to-end process runs smoothly and efficiently.

As the supply chain planner you will be responsible for the following.

  • Work across the entire supply chain to ensure effective cross functional communication between the Sales, NPD, Operations, Customers and Suppliers;
  • Develop metrics which drive improvements in order management and logistics;
  • Implementing process changes for new ERP system introduction working alongside existing departmental managers
  • Improving processes of forecasts, MPS and MRP;
  • Developing and improving supply chain alignment with suppliers and customers;
  • Developing and improving production steering and systems;
  • Key owner of the supply chain modules within the ERP system aligning the department requirements with each person responsible
  • Continuously search for efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain processes;
  • Participate in projects (logistical) improvement projects and new product development;
  • Track logistics cost savings against pre-determined savings targets;
  • Seek for effective supplier innovation in line with group procurement; strategic initiatives;
  • Develop supplier evaluation programs with Procurement team (such as KPI's, frequency of monitoring and reporting), ensuring suppliers provide consistent quality and service;
  • Collaborate with and influence (internal) business partners for assigned commodities, suppliers and portfolio in order to understand and meet business needs and requirements;
  • Developing and implementing E-solutions with suppliers and customers.


The successful candidate for the supply chain planner role will ideally have some of the following key skills and experience;

  • Experience in setting up supplier service level agreements

  • Experience, implementing and developing/improving ERP systems

  • Experience, implementing and developing/improving E-solutions

  • Experience in project approach and organisation

  • Broad based logistics experience in a fast paced organisation with experience and exposure in innovative and new approaches to logistics

  • Proven ability to achieve cost savings and efficiency on supply chain solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and maintain comprehensive relationships with sales, customers and suppliers

  • Degree educated would be desired
