Supply Chain Planner EMEA - Manchester - Chemicals

Our client is a leading chemicals organisation based in Manchester with key counterparts throughout the rest of Europe and the world. They are passionate about their culture in which they aim to treat every stakeholder with the up-most integrity and professionalism.



Description



As the Supply Chain Planner EMEA you will:

  • Perform short-term scheduling and mid-range planning for chemical product groups
  • Balance the supply capacity between internal and external suppliers throughout Europe and the rest of the world from the Manchester facility
  • Understand Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to ensure transparent flow of materials into EMEA distribution centres and guarantees time-lines within the system are accurate/aligned
  • Create shipping plans for the inter-company facilities to ensure accurate supply of materials
  • Closely monitor the EMEA warehouse inventory to have clear plan of action with any restricted, returned or slow moving items
  • To balance, code and review current inventory against service level and targets
  • Providing an accurate overview for material flows to support a strong operational performance
  • Understands performance gaps and resolves day-to-day challenges of EMEA 3rd Party Logistics
  • Have efficient communication through all channels within the company inc. Supply Chain, Global procurement/logistics, Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing and Customer Service to ensure projects are tracked and properly executed





Profile

  • Already proven as a Supply Chain Planner EMEA with chemical manufacturer
  • Must have operational experience using SAP and a thorough understanding of the MRP function and all other applications of the system
  • Has at least 3 years hands-on experience within scheduling
  • Has the ability to use their own initiative by working independently
  • Has a pro-active approach and great communication skills
  • Has an capability and confidence to manage any complex issues
  • Maintains great attention to detail and can deliver results
