Supply Chain Planning Manager

Description

Cargill’s European Protein business is a leading supplier and innovator of chicken products for retail, food service and food manufacturing customers.
The integrated supply chain planning manager will facilitate the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process for Cargill’s European poultry business. IBP is key to the strategic rapid growth of the business and 2022 vision, forming a central part of our supply chain and operational performance. IBP will provide greater visibility of business performance through harmonized metrics and allow the business to make bolder decisions. This position will be accountable for driving the business to deliver results and achieve strategic growth targets through the IBP process, encouraging process improvement and maturity through cross-functional collaboration. The post-holder will coach and mentor teams and individuals across multiple functions and levels of the organization, as well as supporting IBP review meetings and facilitating the integrated operating review and business review meeting with the leadership team. The post-holder will have multiple direct reports spanning plant operations in France, UK and Russia, as well as managing Global Supply chains from  countries, such as Thailand and Brazil.


Main Tasks:

  • Ensure the business develops an IBP plan that supports the business strategy and that the IBP process is a decision making forum to align all functions on a single operating plan
  • Work with the leadership team to deliver strategic growth
  • Lead the implementation of the vision, policies and practises of the IBP process in alignment with company defined standards
  • Develop and document roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities for all owners, participants, and stakeholders of the IBP process
  • Identify process improvement needs and lead projects to close gaps, working with supply chain planning as applicable
  • Lead a continuous education process to ensure broad ongoing organisational support, adoption and evolution of the IBP process in line with best practises and the overall business strategy
  • Coach and mentor owners and participants in IBP reviews to ensure behaviours support a best in class process and continuous improvement
  • For all IBP meetings, provide guidance on running scenarios that impact the business plan
  • For integrated operating review and business review meetings, consolidate input from all contributors to prepare and publish the pre-read and meeting content and publish output and conduct follow-ups
  • Provide senior, technical, and analytical leadership support to improve the quality and timeliness of IBP reporting, if applicable and coordinate external resources and IBP tool implementations.

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree – essential
  • Advanced MBA - desirable
  • Food manufacturing and/or FMCG experience in supply chain, operations, sales or strategy - essential
  • Understanding of both supply chain and commercial operations – essential
  • Experience implementing integrated business planning processes and facilitating review meetings – essential
  • Experience using integrated business planning systems (eg: SAP, IBP) - essential
  • Experience in cross-functional roles - essential
  • Advanced knowledge of the integrated business planning (IBP) process and best in class practices – essential
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills to drive decisions and build consensus among stakeholders – essential
  • Experience in implementing new business processes and driving organisational change – essential
  • Demonstrable skills in interacting and coaching individuals at various levels of an organisation, including executive level – essential
  • Ability to lead change and execute on strategic decisions – essential
  • Strong analytical skills – essential
  • Willingness to travel across the business asset base in the EU and Russia, as well as some international travel – essential
  • Data visualisation and reporting tools (Business Intelligence, Tableau, Power, BI etc) – desirable.
