Supply Chain Project Manager (Retail/FMCG)
Based in Warrington, Cheshire
£55k + Benefits
Our client is looking for an experience supply chain manager (inventory/planning/forecasting) ideally from a retail background but may also consider FMCG or a supplier to retail but who has specifically had experience of developing systems (planning/forecasting)
Job Purpose
To strategically manage complex, high SKU count inventory across EMEA in order to service multiple sales channels, across multiple markets and in multiple warehouses and to look at future development of inventory/supply chain systems

Key Responsibilities
" Working with Demand Planning and the Product teams, determine strategic stocking policies for all SKUs and across all business channels within each of the European warehouses.
" Devise and manage an inventory stocking logic that includes a volume threshold against each style that determines whether it should be stocked within one or both of the warehouses.
" Using prior experience of systems and business reporting tools, implement a systems solution for planning, forecasting, inventory management.
" Continually evolve strategic plans in response to changing business requirements across the region.
" For all single stocked styles determine the optimum warehouse location for that stock to maximise service capabilities whilst minimising transportation costs.
" Manage all inter-warehouse stock transfers.
" Responsible for end of life stock management, working with the sales and retail teams to liquidate stock in the most optimum way for New Balance, ensuring last pairs are cleared quickly to allow for inventory optimisation through the warehouse.
" Responsible for managing and improving stock turns in the European Warehouses
" Takes responsibility for completing monthly inventory forecast and inventory reporting, including service reporting
" Take a leadership role in annual inventory productivity improvement programs.
" Responsible for inter-channel inventory allocation methodology.
" Overall responsibility for the execution of finished goods purchase orders for EMEA subsidiaries, ensuring all deadlines are adhered to and all processes are followed.
" Management of the purchasing team, ensuring all team members have both business and development goals and objectives.  
" Key resource on the Global Inventory Management Project.  Interacts with and aligns to corporate inventory programs, definitions, programs, etc.

" Shows attention to detail, accuracy and timing.
" Highly analytical with the ability to manage large quantities of data and develop meaningful and insightful business/management reports.
" Experienced gained ideally in a large company with complex supply chain in consumer goods - broad SKUs, servicing multi channels, multiple locations with multiple stocking locations and large product lines.
