A leading FMCG organisation based in the Merseyside area are currently recruiting for a Supply Scheduler to join their team on an initial 9 month contract with the potential to get extended or go permanent. As Supply Scheduler you will be responsible for optimising product availability and working capital through effective management of team, productive relationships with supply partners and internal stakeholders and best practise application of SAP planning tools

About the role:
  • Supply lead for product availability at all distribution centres for all Imported Goods within the area of responsibility.
  • Fully responsible for ensuring the correct stock requirements are conveyed to relevant suppliers at product level, taking due consideration of lead-time and other factors (shutdowns, national holidays, etc.)
  • Responsible for achieving stock and working capital targets, ensuring stock levels are within budgeted levels (days cover) whilst maintaining correct stock levels to support the business customer service target.
  • Model safety stock scenarios & make recommendations and improvements based on changing variables such as, lead-times, service levels & supplier reliability. Challenge the business to overcome conflicting objectives in order to make the most commercially appropriate decisions.
  • Define stock targets, liaising with both the distribution centres & central planning teams, to ensure customer service levels and stock holdings reflect true needs of the business

About the person:
  • Available for an imminent start.
  • FMCG background would be advantageous.
  • Strong background around supply planning/ stock control
  • SAP experience would be advantageous.
