Successful and growing independent haulier needs Transport Assistant (days), Southampton £20-25k plus benefits

Your new company
An independent logistics company, with a focus on customer and employee satisfaction that is delivering sustained growth. Working hours are 9-5 Monday to Friday (with 1 hour for lunch).

Your new role
This is a newly created position that will support the Transport Manager with all functions across the Transport Office, and have contact with customers and partner companies always ensuring that tasks are completed accurately and on time. You will ensure delivery notes are entered onto the system and communicated to partner hauliers accurately, enter PODs and send them to customers, assist with quotes and sending out invoices and more. Any experience of groupage (LCL / FCL), pallet networks, route planning or similar is an advantage (and salary can flex to an extent to reflect experience), but training can be provided.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience in a similar Logistics / Transport support position, enjoy a busy working environment and proving excellent customer service. You will have good communication skills. Any experience of logistics or freight specific IT systems is an advantage but training can be provided.
