Opportunity for an experience transport supervisor to join a global business as they continue to grow. You will join the transport management team at the site and be responsible for the day to day transport crew movements, ensuring total fleet and driver compliance at all times. The shift pattern on this role rotates on a three week basis and is Monday to Friday. EXAMPLE 3 WEEK SHIFT PATTERN -4AM - 12PM , 6AM - 2PM ,11AM - 7PM

Client Details


  • Providing leadership and effective management of vehicle resource and fleet teams so that all objectives and targets are achieved.
  • Ensuring effective communications are developed with and between departments and business streams in order to meet objectives within prescribed timescale.
  • Coordinating and prioritising activity during the shifts to ensure customer service requirements.
  • Achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) through effective use of resources and management of staff whilst encouraging and striving for continuous improvement.
  • Taking proactive approach to ensure grievance and disciplinary matters are resolved by adopting a consistent, fair and thorough approach.
  • Maintaining accurate records and planning to ensure targets are achieved within the financial costing’s.
  • Adhering to Health & Safety, Fire & Security requirements to provide a safe working environment.
  • Promoting a flexible approach to delivering business requirements.
  • Representing the transport team at on-site meetings with our customer.

  • Excellent organisational skills and strong interpersonal skills with strong customer focus
  • Must have Sound Logistics operational knowledge and experience, experience of managing teams of drivers within a multi drop environment or FMCG environment.
  • Full vehicle and driver compliance and understanding that is demonstrable.
  • People management experience and line management experience and financial awareness
  • Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills with the ability to develop a multi-skilled and flexible team
  • Objective setting via KPI’s
  • Effective written and oral communication
  • PC Skills: Excel, Word, and able to use in-house systems.
  • Full Driving License required

Job Offer

A salary between £29,000 and £32,000 + Benefits.
