Transport Manager - Based in Middlesex - £40-£45,000 plus strong benefits package

As the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for taking ownership and accountability for the transport and dispatch function, ensuring performance levels are achieved within defined financial and operational directives.

The successful applicant will be accountable for providing effective and professional leadership to the transport and dispatch teams, facilitating a collaborative and inspirational teamwork approach. He/she will effectively manage and motivate both teams in all management activities, as well as controlling costs and driving efficiencies within the department. A key element of this role will be to ensure that the team is compliant with all relevant regulations regarding Fleet, Safety and Internal Compliance.

The ideal applicant will have previous experience working as a key member of a Senior Management team. They will have effectively managed and developed a team within a similar branch environment, with experience of a fleet size in excess of 50+ large [link removed] succeed in this role, it is essential that you have proven experience in strategic & tactical planning, designing and implementing a Transport Branch development plan to address future [link removed] will require you to have an National Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), and ideally you will have or been working towards a Certificate of Management Studies or equivalent.
