This is a brand new position created to support existing UK groupage business and long-term growth. This is a very hand’s on role and the right candidate will need to be committed & enthusiastic. You will be experienced within transport planning amd have some european experience. This is a days role - shift is 10am to 7pm

Client Details



1;- Planning driver collection and delivery routes cost effectively.

2;- Dealing with any daily operational issues promptly and efficiently.

3;- Ensuring that all administrative tasks associated with the operations are completed.

4;- Liaising with customers, drivers, sub-contractors and depots to ensure all targets and deliveries are met and to ensure that the scheduling of work is accurate and up to date on the system.

5;- Maintaining effective relationships with all customers.

6;- Maintaining a strong and effective relationship with the other departments.

7;- Inputting correct information into freight computer system.

8;- Booking sub contractors when required and negotiating prices.

9;- Assisting and reporting to the Transport Manager.

10. Please note that at a later date, the role may require the need to be ‘on call’ out of normal operating hours to assist with any queries or emergencies. This includes weekends and will be rotated accordingly.


1;- Ability to work in a fast pace and pressurised environment.

2;- Excellent I.T. Skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

3;- Good communicator skills, both written and verbal.

4;- Ability to work well in a team but also individually with minimum supervision.

5;- Ideally at least one years previous experience in a transport office preferred but not essential.

Job Offer

A salary of £23,000 + Benefits
