The Transport Planner (Widnes), will create effective transport plans for the operation. They will work alongside the Depot Manager looking at ways to improve revenue streams, improve driver efficiencies and look at cost effective uses of sub-contractors.

Client Details

A highly reputable General Haulier that work with a wide range of clients. They have a number of sites across the UK.


The role of the Transport Planner:

  • Dealing with day to day operational issues, managing, costing and completing the relevant jobs within our TMS.
  • Ensuring the most cost effective/operationally sound transport plan is created.
  • Building and managing day to day relationships with customers and hauliers if required.
  • Arranging and managing schedules for drivers, ensuring resource is planned.
  • Ensuring all jobs are rated and completed in a timely manner, and dealing with any rate/invoice queries that may occur.


The successful Transport Planner Applicant:

  • Prior experience within a Transport Planning role is essential
  • Working within a General Haulage environment is desirable
  • Is flexible in regards to working hours to meet business demands
  • Is able to work in a pressurised environment
  • Able to manage drivers effectively

Job Offer

Hours: Monday - Friday (8am - 6pm)
