The Transport Planner will be responsible for the core of the operations from efficient vehicle routing, issuing driver instructions and monitoring driver performance. The role will be based in a site in Manchester and will work from 14:00 until midnight Monday - Friday.

A well recognised Logistics Operator that have a number of sites across the UK.

Description

The role of the Transport Planner:
  • Support the Transport Manager with all planning activities, resolving any issues promptly
  • Managing and updating transport schedules and diary using TMS
  • Responsible for communicating requirements to depot staff and producing clear and accurate workloads for drivers
  • Support the Transport Manager with keeping control of the records relating to driver’s hour’s legislation, tachograph procedures and other legal obligations
  • Answering phone calls and responding to emails

Profile

The Successful Transport Planner Applicant:
  • Previous experience within a Transport Planning role is essential
  • Good working knowledge of WTD and EU drivers regulations
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office
  • A Transport Management CPC qualification is desirable



Job Offer

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000

Hours: Monday - Friday (14:00 - 24:00)

Occasional early finishes dependant on volumes
